Join our SMS testing team and gain hands-on experience in quality assurance for our School Management System. This remote internship is perfect for high school and college students interested in software testing and educational technology.

Responsibilities

  • Test SMS (School Management System) features and functionality across different modules
  • Create and execute test cases for user registration, login, and core system features
  • Perform manual testing of web and mobile interfaces for our educational platform
  • Document bugs and issues using our bug tracking system (Jira, GitHub Issues)
  • Assist in regression testing to ensure new features don't break existing functionality
  • Test SMS notifications, alerts, and communication features between teachers, parents, and students
  • Validate data accuracy and system performance across different user roles (admin, teacher, parent, student)
  • Participate in test planning sessions and provide feedback on user experience
  • Help create test documentation and user guides for new features
  • Collaborate with developers to reproduce and verify bug fixes

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in high school (grades 11-12) or pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Basic understanding of web browsers and mobile applications
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow test procedures
  • Good written communication skills for bug reporting and documentation
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) or Microsoft Office tools
  • Basic knowledge of software testing concepts is a plus but not required
  • Experience with educational software or school management systems is beneficial
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Available for 15-25 hours per week with flexible scheduling around school commitments
  • Minimum 3-month commitment with potential for extension
  • Must be based in the United States for remote work
  • Reliable internet connection and access to a computer
